Handpicked Nordic pieces for home decor
Nordic homewares from notable designers are the backbone of the collection from Story North.
The new website is a London-based business sourcing pieces from mostly Nordic countries, but also European places such as Germany and even as far as Asia.
The website is co-founded by well-known blogger Samantha Ósk Denidóttir, a London-based interior designer and administrator of the blog Love Nordic.
She uses her experience in choosing pieces for the blog to pick items for the collection and it is a great place to visit to find something very unique for the home.
Pictured above is the rocking sheep created by Danish designer Povl Kjer.
The piece is adorable and very eye-catching made from pine and lamb’s wool.
There is no need to have children to put this in your home because it is a very eclectic statement piece you could use in the sitting room or hallway.
One of our favourite understated yet trendy picks from the collection is the snake wardrobe.

Beaded with solid beech wood the wardrobe is handmade in a small business in Germany.
Place in the corner of your bedroom and hang your favourite fashion finds and most expensive items on it for show.
Or use it as a fun way to hang photographs of your family, friends and adventures using paper clips or pegs to hold the pictures in place.
Finally, a decorative piece that caught our attention is the bird family by Kristian Vedel.
He designed this family of birds back in 1959 and it went on to be one of the most successful Danish wooden products from the 50s.
The birds are pieces with a story and historical popularity.
