Indecisive art-lovers take months to hang a picture

Thursday, 18 August 2011 11:52 AM

How long does it take you to decide on decor? A new survey found almost two thirds of us have at least one picture that is still waiting to be hung, as homeowners procrastinate over the best spot for their artwork.

Command Products also found almost a quarter of people responding to their poll, 24%, admit to having five or more unhung pictures at home.

One of the biggest reasons they gave for putting off the chore was an unwillingness to drill or damage their walls.

Command Products make no-drill picture solutions, which feature strips and hooks, allowing art lovers to be more confident with their decor choice. The hooks hold up to 7kg in weight and don’t leave a mark when they are removed.

Sarah Hannah, Marketing Manager for Command Products, said: “Whilst we had a suspicion that people were putting off hanging their pictures we had no idea to what extent. Customers are always telling us how delighted they are at finding a viable alternative to drilling holes in their walls.”
