Downing Street style in your urban pad
Lighting can be an urban pad’s focal point and the new ‘Truly Iconic’ range from Iconic Lights features some design-led pieces at affordable prices. And if you want to emulate Samantha Cameron’s Downing Street style, the pictured Arco Floor Lamp can be yours for £250.
It was designed in 1962 by Achille and Pier Castiglioni Mrs Cameron bought the lamp from the Truly Iconic range as well as purchasing low energy bulbs to go with it.
David Gutfreund, Managing Director of Iconic Lights, said: “We are finding there is a growing demand from customers looking to bring the wow factor to their home. Nothing beats a reproduction of a truly iconic light from a design classic.”
Other gorgeous items in the range include a 1958 Gino Sarfatti Chandelier, made from chrome with 30 bulbs, priced at £150.
Or for a quirky look, don’t miss Castiglioni’s Snoopy Table Lamp, priced at £195. The light was designed by Italian lighting legend Achille Castiglioni, who was known for his playful style and once he noticed the resemblance of the shade to the muzzle of the Peanuts cartoon strip character, it was inevitable that it would be named the Snoopy light.
