Give your home a modern lighting twist

With more industrial units now being opened up as apartments, the industrial fittings and fixtures are also growing in popularity, as homeowners look to introduce more style and character.

Now even the lighting can have that factory feel, following the launch of remake of the Dunlop factory pendant lights at trainspotters.co.uk.

They are based on the ‘original’ models which were salvaged from ‘Fort Dunlop’ in Birmingham three years ago, and now after months in development, they are available to buy.

They have been manufactured using the highest standard in heavy spun steel and are available in white, grey and black.

Each light, produced exclusively in Birmingham, is supplied ready to hang, with a new fixed bulbholder, 2m polished steel chain, a nickel ceiling hook and 2m braided flex in a choice of colours.

The fittings, which are described as ‘a 20thC industrial design classic’, cost £195 + VAT, while 60 watt bulbs are sold separately at £10.50 + VAT each.

The website also sells 1930's French pendant lights, giant black Czech downlighters and the NYC Walk / Don't Walk, priced at £925 each,
