Contemporary art for under £500

Affordable art group Art Under a Monkey has signed up contemporary Irish artist Michele Grimson, offering a new range of colourful,  surrealist artworks perfect for your urban pad's focal points. Grimson's work has a Mark Rothko feel, with the 20th century abstract expressionist theme.

Rothko famously said, “If you are only moved by colour relationships, you are missing the point. I am interested in expressing the big emotions - tragedy, ecstasy, doom."

In her series “Just Colours”, where Grimson explores the relationship between colours, shapes and textures. In “It Will Always Be You”, one of Grimson’s most beautiful and exciting pieces, she boldly paints her two favourite colours because it makes her feel nostalgic and she hopes to evoke a similar reaction within the viewer.

Art Under a Monkey donates a percentage of each sale to charities including Crisis, while all artworks are shipped in environmentally sustainable packaging. To receive a complimentary £35 gift voucher, email contactinfo@artunderamonkey.co.uk, quoting 'Urban Pad'.
