IKEA offers new under-bed storage solutions

With city slickers increasingly pushed for space, Swedish furniture giant IKEA has introduced a new range of under-bed storage drawers to make it easier to make the most out of your apartment’s spare areas.

The average size of a new-build flat in the UK and Ireland is now just 77m2 and for this reason IKEA claims it has never been more important to use your space wisely.

Maximising under-bed storage is an easy way to de-clutter your flat and create a sense of calm, with many drawers featuring wheels or rollers to make it easy to get items out from underneath the bed.

Storage boxes are available from just £4.99, while the Mandal bed frame with under-bed storage costs £239. For ease of access, the Odda storage unit (£59) comes with castors, allowing it to be rolled out effortlessly.

Furthermore, there is a wide range of styles on offer at IKEA to match your bedroom’s decor, from oak veneers to rustic wicker effect storage boxes.
