The Genoa can be opened up thanks to the sturdy hinges, which reveal a large storage space underneath. No more rummaging underneath the bed, it’s now far easier to dig out your old shoes or suitcases.

This design is available from January in soft ivory or brown faux leather, with prices starting at £289 for a double and £399 for a kingsize version.

Alternatively, if you’re an avid reader, then collect your books in an elegant and accessible collection with the Italia design. The luxurious purple faux leather design has built-in bookshelves along both sides, making it easier to pick out some night-time reading.
