Union Jack telephone to ring in the Jubilee

Wednesday, 16 May 2012 10:14 AM

This year the union jack motif is being brandished on everything from curtains and duvet covers to soaps and candles, but now there is even a patriotic way to call your friends.
The Sagemcom Sixty telephone was launched last year but has had a makeover for the year of the Jubilee and London Olympics.

The retro telephone is now emblazoned with the union jack for a funky twist on the already popular phone. This model maintains the original features of the telephone design but has an additional ringtone; the national anthem can alert you to incoming calls.

The phone has an answering machine, digital phonebook, call blocking, time, date and length display screen and a hands-free speaker. The digital press buttons activate a dialing light around the perimeter of the dial and even the classic dialing sound is recreated to give this modern phone a retro touch.

If God Save The Queen is not your preferred ring tone there is also the traditional ring and other contemporary tracks.
The phone would be an excellent reminder of the year the Brits shone on the world stage.
It is available from Comet, Currys and John Lewis Partnership stores, Selfridges and on-line from Amazon.
