Panasonic launches Viera remote app for Apple gadgets

Tuesday, 17 May 2011 10:49 AM

Having to search high and low for the remote control may well be a thing of the past now that Panasonic has unveiled a Viera remote app for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch users.

The app allows quick navigation of all the tools and features on a Viera television, including 3D settings and SD card access, by simply activating the function within the TV menu.

It has been designed with Viera Connect in mind – the new cloud-based internet service that allows access to sports, health and fitness activities, interactive games and a variety of other content, in addition to the standard movies and television programmes.

Fabien Roth of Panasonic Marketing Europe said: “The new Viera remote app takes the familiarity and functionality of iPad, iPhone and iPod touch and allows users convenient browsing of their TV content.”

The app is free to download from the App Store on iPad, iPhone and iPod touch and works with all 2011 Viera Connect capable models, including Plasma VT30, GT30, ST30, G30 and S30 series and LCD DT35, DT30, D35 and E30 series.
